About our School

In 2015 Ofsted graded our school Outstanding in every area.

We offer our children a happy, caring, secure environment where we foster high standards of social behaviour and mutual respect. We achieve this through providing an exciting curriculum and an atmosphere in which children and staff have a positive and enthusiastic approach to learning for life.

Wallisdean Infant School is a Hampshire County Council LA Maintained school, catering for boys and girls from 4 to 7 years old.

We have two classes in each of our three year groups (Reception Year, Year 1 and Year 2). Each of our spacious classrooms is equipped with an interactive SMART board, iPads, reading corner and an art area.

Each class is timetabled to use our dedicated IT suite each week and pupils may also choose to use the extensive range of software packages as an activity during their weekly Golden Time session or when lunchtimes are declared a ‘wet playtime’.

We have the WOW Breakfast Club (7.30am-8.50am) and WOW After School Club TERM TIME ONLY (3.15pm-5.15pm Monday-Thursday and 5.00pm on Friday’s) on site. These clubs are independently run and are very popular with parents and children from both Wallisdean Infant and Wallisdean Junior School.  Not open on Bank Holidays or school INSET days.

The school also offers subsidised After School Activities.  These change each half term and may include staff led clubs such as Art/Craft and Forest School; or Archery, Gym, Multi-skills, Basketball, Dance,  Cricket, Tennis or Football (through Pompey in the Community).

We share a site and a Federated Governing Body with Wallisdean Pre-School (who cater for children aged from 3 years) and Wallisdean Junior School (children aged 7 to 11 years old), enabling a smooth transition flow through children’s education from age 3 to 11.
