Fundraising and WFA

Throughout each year our pupils engage in a range of fundraising activities.  Due to the pandemic and knock on effects, it continues to be much more difficult than in previous year, but this makes the fundraising that we are able to do all the more important.  Thank you for your support.

Through pupil lead discussion, our School Council agrees the charities that families will be asked to donate to (eg Local Food Bank, Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal);  our staff run both learning and fun activities to raise money for the school (eg Money Matters, Movie Night); and WFA, our Parents’ Group (Wallisdean Friends Association) raises money for many extra curricula activities (eg Christmas Magic Show, discos, special ‘shopping days’ etc).

In classes, topics and assemblies our children talk about the reasons for and ethics of fundraising and of helping others:

This year we asked all our families to deliver their Harvest Donations for Fareham Basics Bank direct to           St John’s Church

Poppy Appeal 2021/22 –  £529.53 across the whole Federation

Children In Need 2021 Pudsey Appeal – £117.32

Across the Federation, we raised £333 for our local Rainbow Centre – Junior School Council representatives visited the centre to hand over the cheque.

Our children sent 31 Christmas Shoeboxes to less fortunate children through the Rotary Club – click on links to see certificate and photos

Christmas Cards – tba raised for Wallisdean Infant School

NSPCC Number Day – the children wore clothes with numbers or shapes on them and we raised £127.25

Money Matters – ‘Dragons Den’ style each year group competes to make a profit for Wallisdean Infant School
