SMSC underpins all aspects of the school’s work and is delivered through assemblies and the curriculum. These opportunities are enriched through the House Team system, curriculum events, visits, clubs and special activities. Practice in relation to the Behaviour Management Policy also supports SMSC development. Additional support will be put in place for identified children. Opportunities for children to extend their experiences of SMSC are provided through pupil leadership and responsibility roles; through invitations to tournaments and special events. Pupils are also encouraged to be self-initiating, for example through setting up their own lunchtime clubs and organising fundraising activities for charities.
